Burnet Wins Title in Tournament
Brudy'a Bulldog cagers advanced
to the finals and then lost to Bur-
net, 49-41, in the Burnet Invita-
tional Haslet hull Tournament Sat-
urday night.
Brady drew a hye in the first
round and then downed Llano Fri-
day night, 67-45, to gain the finals.
Llano had beaten Leander in the
first round, (58-35.
Bohhy Weise led the scoring for
5-1-12; Fletcher Fields 1-1-3; Joe
Cole 1-2-4; Charles Ortiz 0-1-1.
Totals 20-17-67,
In the championship game
against Burnet, the Bulldogs’ scor-
ing was as follows; Weise 6-6-10;
Cornelius 4-0-8; Byrd 1-0-2; Boek-
er 3-4-10; Cole 1-1-3; Ortiz 1-0-2.!

team trimmed the Brady B squad
in the curtain raiser, 52-39,
Bobby Weise and Winston Boek-
er led (he Brady team with 20
and 17 points respectively. Weise
had six baskets and eight free
thrown and Boeker had seven bas-
kets and three gratis tosses.
Fryar counted 22 for Brown-
wood, and his teammates Gilger
and Piter chalked tij 19 and 1(5
respectively.

In the B game, Don Taylor, Rob-
