CAUSES ACCIDENT.

•Rurday evening while Levi Fry
was driving down Belknap street in
this city toward the public square
• dog ran out at his horse. The
horse shied, one of the traces came
loose, and the driver could not con-
trol the animal, which soon ran into
a telephone post. The trouble be-
gan in front of W. Chamberlin's
residence, and terminated further
.down the street, in the regr of Wil-
lis Higginbotham's residence, Mr.
Frey and Miss Lane being thrown
violently to the ground 'when the
buggy crashed into the phone post.
Muncy Langdon was passing at the
time, and ran to give assistance,
and W. Chamberlin Joined him a
4*>iDUte later. They found Mr .Frey
Ibad managed to pick himself up,
Wnd was trying to revive the un-
oonscious girl. Mr. Frey was suf-
fering from a dislocated shoulder*’
[Both were taken tho Chamber-
lin residence. Miss Lane remained
in a stupor throughout the night,

Mr.'Frey is a school teacher, and

exemplary young man. He has con-
tracted to teach at the Bel den
school this year. Ben Frey is his
father. He was able to return to
his home on Sunday. It is believed
