Mr*. O. A. am*
J. W. Brumley was taken to
the Graham Hospital lor medical
care Saturday night alter having
a heart attack Thursday. He is
some better. Henry Burdick, who
Is in the Olney Hospital is im-
proving. C. L. Burton returned
home Monday from the Olney Hos-
pital. He Is better Mrs. Verne
Fuqua, who was taken ill last
week ,is staying with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W. B Nelson of
Poolville. She too, is better. C. F.
Harman is also improved alter be-
ing ill last week. We hope lor all
a speedy recovery.
Mrs. Maggie Mooney of Morgan
and granddaughter, Miss Jarene
Johnson of Cleburne, are spend-
ing a number of days with her
brothers, Sam and Noel Ugon
and families.
Mr. and Mrs. Phil Graxler, San-
dra and Mike of Denton, visited
during the week with Mrs. Etha
Bratcher and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Burdick. Mr. and Mrs. Graizer and
Mike returned home Sunday and
Sandra stayed over for a longer
visit.
Mr. and Mr*. A. G. Cox and
Mrs. G. A. Bills were in Graham |
Friday afternoon to attend funeral
rites for Mr. R. G. Miller. Friends:
here extend their deepest sympa-
thy to his loved ones.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Nall and
daughter, Donna, returned home
Sunday after a week's vacation
with relatives. They reported a
wonderful time. ^
Mr. and Mrs Aubra Purselley
from Refugio, Texas, are visiting
his mother, Mrs. Minnie Purselley
and brother. Ona.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Holland vis-
ited with Henry Burdick and C. L.
Burton at the Olney Hospital Sun-
day afternoon. They also visited
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L.
Maples.
Every one is so thankful for
the good rain Saturday. Three and
four inches were reported in some1
places. The rains seemed to be
general over the state as Joe and
W. B. Shepard, coming from Ab-
bott Friday night, reported good
rains all the way to Jacksboro.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor and
sons, Gary and Larry of Brecken-
ridge, are spending their vacation
with her mother, Mrs. Arthur San-
ders.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Sanders,
Connie and Bonnie of Wichita
Falls, spent Sunday with her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Cox; also
visited his mother, Mrs. Arthur
Sanders.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Nall were
in Wichita Falls Monday on busi-
ness
Sunday night with a number of
rededications and one coming in-
to the church. Rev. Verne Fuqua,
pastor, brought wonderful and in-
spiring messages both morning
and evening, with Ray Blake and
Ray Burdick directing the singing.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Barnett,
Robert Dale and Mike of Fort
Worth, spent Monday night and
Tuesday with her aunt and hus-
band, Mr and Mrs. W. W. Prather.
M«. and Mrs. Dannie Inman
from Dallas spent the week-end
with her mother, Mrs. Bill Sanders.
Children and grandchildren vis-
iting Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Tedrow
during the week-end were Mr. and
Mrs. W. W. Rivers and children of,

with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Holland

business visitors in Fort Worth

Joe Shepard is doing some car-
penter work for Grover Hanna of
Markley this week. He worked for
Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Caskey Monday
doing their bathroom over. A. G.
Cox is doing some remodeling at
his home, adding a bathroom and
fixtures.
A number of women met Thurs-
day at the Community Renter and
day quilting for Mrs.
Carrye Hazelton. who lost her home
frmitiy by fire. Three
finished and presented \ to Mrs.
Hazelton. Later in the afternoon

This area received another good
rain Saturday. It varied from
around 2 inches up to 7 inches Of
course same damage was done in
washing out of fences and two
bridge!, broken terraces, but after
all it helped crops and pastures
considerably and for a few days
the weather was fine.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klein and
boys visited with the Gordon Rob-
insons, Burkburnett, and grand-
mother Robinson. Wichita Falls on
Wednesday and Thursday. The
Kleins returned to their home in
Waco Sunday after a two weeks
vacation.
Mrs. Edith Pate of Hurley, New
Mexico spent a few days last week
in the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Harold Elliott She was on vaca-
tion but spent most of the two
weeks with her mother, Mrs. Allie
Hancock, of Morgan Mills.
Mr and Mrs. Uel Pearcy and
boys returned home this week aft-
er a week's visit to relatives in
Stephenville and other towns of
that area
Mr. and Mrs Jimmy Stewart
and Patsy moved into the house
on B W. King’s place last week

Throckmorton at the First Baptist
