The Burgess Bellomys had a
family home-coming the past
week-end Those attending were:
W. B. Bellomy, wife and son,, Em-
ory Tuttle, wife and daughter, Fos-
ter Duckworth, wife and sons, all
of Fort Worth.
Mrs. Mabel Wells, and daughters,
Mrs. Sam Reeves of Graham, and
Miss Mabel Wells of Fort Worth
have gone to Georgia to visit their
son and brother, Robert Wells and
family.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wells and
Mrs. George Wilkinson, and little
daughter, visited Mrs. Donald Wi
ley in Graham on Saturday.
Mr and Mrs Walter Dent, with
their brother. Will Dent of New-
castle attended a family reunion
in Hood County last week.
Brother tumonason of Elias-
ville, the new Methodist pastor,
filled his first appointment at
Proffit last Sunday, and had a good
attendance.

family. Joe is the son of Mrs.
Cora Wooldridge of Newcastle.
Mrs. Wooldridge was also pres-

Mr. and Mrs Hubert Strother
have joined the TV fans.
It was a mistake about Raymond
Holbert moving to Graham.
Mrs Dick Wells was taken to
Olney Hospital with a heart ail-
ment on Monday morning.
Mrs. Brice Wilkinson and grand-
son, Donnie of Graham, visited
the George Wilkinsons, and Earl
and Etna Wilkinson on Sunday.
Bill and his cousin, Joe Wilkin-
son of Pampa, who has been vis-
iting him the past week, returned
home with them.
We have just had word that an
early day settler of the Proffitt
community, Mrs. Edley Pritchett
formerly Eva Tankersley, had
passed away in Dallas last week.
She was a very close friend of
this reporter .and lived in Prof-
fitt until after she married Edley
Pritchett of the Farmer commu-
nity, then later moved to Fort
Worth, and then Dallas.

is serving in Korea with the 7th

are undergoing intensive training
to maintain the peak combat ef-
ficiency displayed by the unit
from Pusan to the Yalu river.
Private Cook, a gunner, arrived
in the Far East this June from
Fort Bliss, Texas, where he com-
pleted basic training. His wife,
Bernice, lives on Route 2, Jacks-
boro.

Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Buttrick of
Denver, Colorado, Mrs, O. D. Mc-
Bride of Wichita Falls, F. L. Al-
berts and Mrs. H.. M. Goldston, of
Graham, were dinner guests of
Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Walker Satur-
day.
Mrs. Grisham, with her daugh-
ters, Mrs. Allan Cearley, and Mrs.
Frank Cearley, went to Ft. Worth
visiting another daughter, Mrs.
Lewis Carter, who underwent sur-
gery. Mrs. Carter is reported much
better.
Don Wilkinson returned from
Pampa last week. He is now visit-
ing his father, Bob Wiliknson at
Big Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Walker,
Charles and Patsy were in Mineral
Wells Sunday, visiting his brother,
J. H. Walker and other relatives,
who were there from Houston,
Amarillo, Seymour, and Arizona.
Rev. and Mrs. Jack McCoy had
Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Rubenkoenig.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Baird of
Iraan, visited friends and rela-
tives here Monday. They were en-
route home from a vacation in
San Antonio and other towns in
South Texas.

Mrs. Maud Schlittler brought
the Bible Lesson from the 28th
chapter of Matthew, at the Prayer
Service which was held in the
home of Mrs. S. R. Walker Thurs-
day afternoon; also present were
Mmes. Audrey Shuler, A. G. Cox,
Charles Ferguson, Jess Robinson,
Etta Lee, and Martha, Fred Ru-
bekoenig and Jack McCoy.
