Miss Simpson Becomes Bride
Of Randy E. Huff in Levelland
Beneath an arch entwined
with bridal wreath, flanked by
candelabra and a basket of
white and gold chrysanthe-
mums, Miss Joye Ella Simpson
and Randy E. Huff were united
in matrimony in First
Presbyterian Church of
Levelland, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. The
Rev. A. G. Severin gave the
wedding service followed by
the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are
Mr. and Mrs. Robert 0.
Simpson of Levelland and Mr.
and Mrs. D. E. Huff of Kermit.
Given in marriage''' by her
father, the bride’s gown, which
had been worn by her mother
and two aunts at their
weddings, was of cream slipper
satin, fashioned with a fitted
bodice of Chantilly lace,
accented with pearls, and a
high Victorian neckline. The
sleeves had soft lace falling
over the hands. The bouffant
skirt with lace applique and
pearls outlining the hem ended
in a cathedral train. Her
full-length veil of illusion and
lace was caught to a coif and a
short veil fell over the face. Her
only jewelry was a strand of
pearls and a pin, which was
carried in her bouquet of
gardenias, mums and lilies of
the valley. These two pieces
belonged to her maternal and
paternal grandmothers for
whom she was named.
Mrs. Charles Carsner of
Victoria was matron of honor
and Mrs. James Austin
Simpson of Lubbock,
sister-in-law of the bride, was
bridesmatron. Attendants wore
formal-length gowns of gold
crepe with a jewel neckline and
long full sleeves ending in wide
cuffs and featured a wide band
and rhinestone belt. They
carried nosegays of mums,
carnations and lilies of the
valley.
Best man was Michael
Jenkins of Capell, with James

groomsman. Ushers were Bill
Huff, brother of the
bridegroom, and Byron
Johnston of Midland.

Prayer” and Mr. and Mrs. Bulls
sang “The Lord’s Prayer” at
the end of the wedding service
before the solemnization of the
wedding5 vows. Mrs. Ralph
Be nning field accompanied
them on the organ.
Immediately following the
ceremony a reception was held
in Fellowship Hall of the
church with the bride’s parents
as hosts. Miss Kirsten Dunson,
cousin of the bride, presided at
the registration table.

covered with a handmade lace
tablecloth. It was highlighted
with a centerpiece of candles
and a three-tiered wedding
cake. Miss Jo Pat Davenport of
San Antonio, Miss Susan Speir
of Uvalde, and Mrs. John David
Speir of Stratford, all cousins
of the bride, served at the
refreshment table. Mrs. Ronald
Glass of Lubbock played piano
music during the reception.
For a short wedding trip,
the bride wore a red sheath
gown with bands of white and
navy blue at the hem. The
pleated coat matched the dress.

navy blue and her corsage was
gardenias.
