May Calendar
The last month of the
school year is always fil-
led with activities for the
students and the faculty
of PHS. This year is cer-
tainly no exception. The
seniors are going to give
the month an interesting
start with Senior Day,
May the first. Also on the
first and second of May
Mrs. Garner will be at-
tending the state Future
Homemakers of America
convention in Austin with
a few of the FHA’s in-
coming officers. The Na-
tional Honor Society will
have a picnic on the
fourth, leaving at 5:15.
Pnahandle softball teams
will play ball in Sunray
on the fifth. May seventh
through the eighth will be
the UIL state meet in
, which PHS will be repre-
sented by Glenn Armstr-
ong in the slide rule con-
test. The Are 1 Future
Farmers of America will
be in Lubbock on the ninth.
The Service Awards Ban-
quet will be May the eigh-
th. The Student Council
will leave at 5:15 on May
the eleventh for a party
in Thompson Park. May
14-16 the band hopes to,be
at contests in Six Flags
over Texas. May 17 is Ba-
cculaureate; it will be at
8:00 in the junior high
auditorium. The Meth-
odist Church is spon-
soring a breakfast for the
seniors on the morning
of the 18th. The final
exams will be given on
the following dates: per-
iod seven , May 19th;
periods2,4, and 6, May
20th;.and periods 1,3,and
5, May 21, School will
be out the 22 day of May,
and graduation will beat-
8: 00 in the junior high
auditorium, The ac-
tivities for the 1963-64
school year will then be
completed, ___
