Mrs. Leo Eckard prepared
the decorated cake and games

Saturday in an Odessa
restaurant.
After the business meeting,
members of the social
committee were hosts for a hot
dog feast.
Secret Sister gifts were
exchanged and revealed and
. names were drawn for the
coming year.
Remembrance gifts were
presented to Mrs. Glen Funkey
and Mrs. Charles Shadowens
who are advancing to XI
Gamma Upsilon Chapter. Mrs.
Buddy Hancock also is moving
to the chapter but was not
present.

Purpose of the visit was to
advise the Andrews Auxiliary
in organization duties.

Professional Women’s Club was
held Tuesday in Kermit State
Bank.
Mrs. W. L. Barnes,
president, was in charge of a
brief business meeting when a
discussion was held concerning
sending representatives to El
Paso May 24 to attend a
planning meeting for the
District VIII Conference to be
held later in the year.
Delegates and alternates
were named to represent the
club at the state B&PW
Convention to be held June
12-14 in Amarillo. Delegates
are Mrs. P. C. Albright, Mrs.
Robert Heflin and Mrs. Nancy
Dean. Alternates are Mrs. Jack
York and Mrs. Jerry Bell.
During the social hour Mrs.
Jack Roe showed slides of a
recent performance of the
Tijuana Broads.
Mrs. R. A. Poison was a
guest and hostesses were Mrs.
L. Glover and Mrs. Ernest
Scheible.
Next meeting, schedule for
June 2, will be in the bank’s
Mesquite Room and will honor
all new members who have
come into the club during the
year. All these members are
urged to attend.
Mrs. A. L. Dixon and Mrs.
George Marcy will be in charge
of the program and Mrs. James
Green and Mrs. Hardy McClary
will serve as hostesses, .

Brownie Troop 495 met
Tuesday, May 19 at the
Winkler County Park and
enjoyed a wiener roast with all
the trimmings. This was the
last meeting for the school
year.
The highlight of the meeting
was a surprise cake presented
by the Brownies to Mrs. N. B.
Sitton, who is moving to
Austin. Those present were:
Romona Shepherd, Janet
Teague, Veronica Aranda,
Jayna Franklin, Teri Kingston,
Mindy Sitton, Stephanee Estes,
Traci Smith, Gladys Hawkins,
Cindy Burdick, Mrs. N. B.
Sitton, Mrs. Sam Estes, Tim
Estes and Brent Sitton.

Regular monthly meeting of
the executive board of Pink
Ladies Auxiliary was held
Thursday morning with Mrs.
David Costello, president,
presiding.
Reports were that 244
hours have been worked during
the month in Snack Bar and
339 hours of floor work had
been logged by members.
Announcement was made of
a Candy Striper Convention to
be held Aug. 12-13 in Austin.
