At the May 25th General Meeting of the Double Oak Women’s Club, presi-
dent Rosaline Scheerer had the honor of presenting scholarship awards to
two Double Oak students who were selected by a committee chaired by
Martha Holman this year. Karen Beste (daughter of Mary and Tim Beste)
was selected as the recipient of the Karin Cofer Memorial scholarship, and
Michael Huemmer (son of Joyce and Jeff Huemmer) was awarded the
DOWC Club scholarship. Several Double Oak residents were considered
for these scholarships, all impressive and very accomplished, and the
DOWC is proud of and wishes congratulations and best of luck to all gradu-
ating seniors this year
