recently visited their daughter and
family, Lt. and Mrs. Bdb Carter,
and Bruce in San Bernadino, Calif.
Fourth of July guests of Mrs.
Betty Ellis were her son and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Ellis
and children, Rick, Becky and
Ann of Odessa.
Mrs. C. H. Carson and niece,
Miss Rena Johnson, of Welling-
ton, Kan., have been in Panhan-
dle during the harvest season.

Women
BORGER—Weding vows were
solemnized at 8 p.m. June 9 be-*
tween Miss Faye Bonifield and
Wayne Mohon. The wedding was
held at Buna-vista Baptist Church
with the Rev. Donald Brent, pas-
tor, oficiating at the double ring
candlelight ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clell Bonifield of
Bunavista. The bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Mohon,
Panhandle.
La Wanda Reid of Silverton,
accompanied Dale Francis, also
of Silverton who sang “Oh Prom-
ise Me” and “The Wedding Pray-
er.”
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the bride wore an off-white
dress oi pou de soi, waltz length
with white lace cumberbund form-
ing a bustle at the_back. Her white
.ace mitts terminated in points
at the wrists. The shoulder length
veil of illusion fell from a tiara of
white pearle. She carried a bou-
quet of pale yellow roses and
stephanotis.
Mrs. Bill Atkins atended her sis-
ter as matron of honor. She wore
a pale blue cotton dress with a
headpiece of net and bows that
formed a half hat. Her bouquet
was of white daisies. Miss Char-
lotte Meador and Mrs. Terry
Guthrie were bridesmaid and
bridesmatron respectively. They
were dressed identically to that
of the matron of honor.
Christe Bonifield of Claude was
flower girl. She was dressed in
white organdy with blue trim. She
carried a parasol filled with daisy
petals. Tim Harvey of Plainview
was ring bearer.
Ben Naylor of Fort Worth served
as best man. Ushers were Bill
Atkins and Frank Simms of Pan-
handle. Candlelighters were Eddie
Spurgin of McKinney and Larry
Belew.
For her daughter’s wedding
Mrs. Bonifield wore a beige
sheath dress of eyelet embroidery
linen with bone accessories. Her
corsage was a green orchid. Mrs,
Mohon, mother of hte bridegroom,
chose a tan and white polka dot
dress with tan accessories. HHer
corsage was a white orchid.
Following the ceremony, a re-
ception was -held in the fellowship
hall of the church. The bride’s
table was centered with brass

Vs teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup heavy cream—whipped
VL cup chopped, drained mara-
schino cheeries
Vi cup chopped nuts
One baked pie shell
Mix together gelatin, xk cup
sugar and salt in top of double
broiler. Bear together egg yolks
and milk. Add to gelatin mixture.
Place over boiling water and stir
constantly until gelatin is aom-
pleleiy dissolved. Remove from
heat, add almond flavor ng and
nutmeg. Chilli until mixture
mounds slightly when dropped
from a spoon. Beat egg whites
until stiff, but not dry. Add grad-
ually remaining 14 cup sugar and
beat until very stiff. Fold into gel-
atin fixture. Fold in whipped
cream, cherries and nuts. Turn
into pastry shell. Chill until firm.
Garnish with additional whipped
cream, cherries and nuts.
