AT THIS TIME THE MERCHANTS OF THE CITY JOIN WITH OLD SANTA IN EX-
TENDING AN INVITATION TO EVERY MAN, WOMAN, AND ESPECIALLY ALL
OF THE CHILDREN, OF THIS ENTIRE SECTION TO BE THEIR GUEST ON THIS
NIGHT. OLD SANTA WILL BE HERE AND WILL HAVE A SPECIAL MESSAGE
FOR THE LITTLE FOLKS.
VARIED PROGRAM OF GROUP SINGING, BAND MUSiC, READINGS, STRING
MUSIC, LOTS OF NOISE IS ANOTHER FEATURE.
Merchants Gift Ni£ht
THE MERCHANTS OF THE CITY’AND THIS INCLUDES PRACTICALLY EVERY
INSTITUTION, WILL OFFFR FREE GIFTS ON THIS NIGHT. THE LIST WILL IN
CLUDE DRY GOODS, TOILET ARTICLES, CANNED GOODS, SUGAR, COFFEE,
JEWELRY, HARDWARE ITEMS, GROCERIES, FRUITS, ETC.
A CONVENIENT PLACE FOR REGISTRATION WILL BE LOCATED IN EACH
PLACE OF BUSINESS PARTICIPATING, AND SOME TIME DURING THE DAY
YOU ARE TO REGISTER YOUR NAME. EVERY GIFT IS FREE. YOU DO NOT
HAVE TO BUY A SINGLE ITEM. HOWEVER, YOU MUST REGISTER IF YOU
SHARE IN THE FREE GIFTS. THE LUCKY NAMES WILL BE POSTED IN MER
CHANTS WINDOWS AT 830 P. M. . ' i
BUSINESS SECTION OF THE CITY WILL BE ELABORATELY LIGHTED WITH
HUNDREDS OF CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND THE STORES WILL ALL BE BEAU
TIFULLY DECORATED WITH BUNTING, CEDARS AND LIGHTS AND A FULL
LINE OF CHRISTMAS GOODS ON DISPLAY.
The merchants are expecting one of the largest crowds in the history of McGregor to be present to welcome Old Santa
on next Wednesday night. Be here sure and bring the children. On account of the large crowd, arrangements have
been made to rope off the entire Main street and no cars will be allowed during this special occasion.
