Graham passed into the hands of
Mr. Hensley of Jaoksbqro. Frank

ham to Jacskboro and return in a
day.
Brazelton was the heaviest loser
around the town. His melon crop
was utterly destroyed and other
products of his truck farm suffer-
ed tremendous loss. The leaves
of the cotton were hammered off
but it is thought that it will come
out again.
A great many window lights 1q
town were broken out by the hail.
The Leader office *as a consid-
erable sufferer while the court
house, banks and eburohes all
contributed their share of broken
glass.
The rain so far as we can as-
certain was pretty general to the
south and east, but north and
west was light. It was said by
all to have been the longest hail-
ill duration, ever seen in
this country and many of the
hailstones *ere as large as a
guinea hen’s egg.
The business will hereafter be
oenducted on a cash basis. We
are compelled ’ to adopt this

have them with us again.

per at toe-residence of John Wat-
son Wednesday night; also one
at M. M. Burris Fridtty night—a
general good time at both places
and especially did we enjoy the
cream and cake. We. all know
Mrs. Burris and Mrs. Watson are
good cooks by those oakee.
