is one of the three being spon-
sored by the West Texas Cham-
ber during a three-day period
in mid-March, the others be-
ing at Amarillo on March IB

at the Municipal-Auditorium,

own 10.235 registered vehicles and
4.000 have not been inspected as
yet." Johnson said.
"Under the law there can be
no extension qf the deadline, and
motorists who fail to display the
new sticker on and after April
16th are subject to eneit." he
said. Authority for the enforce-
ment of the provisions of the Mo-
tor Vehicle Inspection Act is ves-
ted in any Sheriff or Deputy Sher-
iff and City Policeman as well 1
