Coyotes Promise to be Toughest
Foe in Thanksgiving Game
By Gilbert Webb
The Wichita Falls Coyotes pro-
mise ,to be the toughest of foes
for the Steers whert--the two clubs
meet there Thanksgiving after
noon, as was revealed to Graham
ites who saw- the Wichita-Vemon
game la^j Friday. ■,
Although failing to chalk up as
great a score against Vernon a.-'
did the Steers,,, the Coyotes show-
ed us they hpye power to span
in the line that did more things
to Vernon’s fc/nvard wall than wc
did. Tlva .Coyotes ran almost -at
will tfgliifest rthe Vernon line and
had little" jirOuble in totaling 17
first 'down/ against Vernon's pair.
We
heed not the warning, there
be much tedness in the land. *
11. And when it was but a few
days before the battle, the merch-
ants indicated they would sell not
that day but would do groat honor
to the men about to enter into the
gig fight. It w*» felt that they
would open not their doors for the
trade when it was Thanksgiving.
12. And there promised s great
multitude in many lands where
the men would meet and fight
but from lands not hard by that of
the Steers, would come scribe*
and leaden of other armies to look
again upon the Steers.
