. OLNEY, Nov. 12 — Miss F.vu
Joy Butler of, Pampa formerly of
Olney, daughter of Mr, and Mr*.
H. H. Butler, and UeWayne
Strealv of Olney, aon of Mr. and
Mr*. T. E. Strealy were married
in a wedding ceremony in the
Methodist Church on Sunday, No-,
vember 10th.
An informal announcement tea
was given Friday afternoon. No-
vember 1st in the home of Mr*.
J. T. Gray by Mrs. Butler! moth**
er of the bride-elect.--------———
“ Approximately 250 guests call-
ed during the party hours, and
were greeted at the door by Mrs.

presented the guests to members
of the receiving line to include
Mrs. Gray, the honoree. Mrs. But-
tler. mother of the bride-elect. Mrs

used throughout the party rooms.
Th- living room featured an ar-
rangement of gold marigolds on
the mantle, reflected in the man-
tle mirror, and on the piano white
and gold chrysanthemums were
in a white bowl. .*
Refreshment Table
The refreshment table was laid
with a white cutwork maderia
cloth. At one extremity of the
table was a white satin heart,
pierced with a gold arrow which
was caught with a larger bow of
gold satin with streamers draped
across the table, formed the dec- ,
oration. The heart also carried a
corsage of gold and white flowersy
The streamers bore the announce-
ment “Eva Joy and DeWayne.
Nov. 10” in gold lettering. Tall
burning tapers in silver holders,
completed the table decoration
and the silver tea service marked
it* other extremity.

were Mesdames Britton, C.' V.
Morgan. I.. L. Smith of Graham.

The bride’s table held an ar-

Music was provided by Mrr.

Graham, Miss Gladys Drum, Mrs.

It was further revealed during
the party hours that Rev. W. B.
Reeves, pastor of the Holliday
Methodist Church, will be the ^of-
ficiating minister.* The bride will
be attended by Jo Anne Morgan
of Southern Methodist University

The couple plan to return to
Olney, following an extended-wed-
ding trip, where they wdH estab-
lish a ho/ne.

The bride - .elect was bom and *’
tea red in this area. She attended
grade school in Megargel before
the family moved to Holliday,
where ahp was graduated from
high school, as class valedictorian •
She attended Texas State College
for Women at Denton two years,
waa a member of the Marv
Schwarts Club and the Alice
Freeman Palmer Club and was
elected the latter’s vice president
her junior year-
Strealy is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Strealy of Olney. His
great-grandmother. Mr*. W. A.
Key and the late W. A. Key were
pioneers of Olney and near-by tar
ritory He graduated from Otney
High School in 1943, attended
Ad College, then in 1944 enter-
ed service., He served 10 months
in the Army Air Forces in Japan,
and recently received hi* dis
charge with the rating at ser-
geant.
