Mary Ella Biaddock, Graham
High School senior from South
Bend, was elected chapter sweet-
heart of the Graham Future Far-
mer Chapter Wednesday, Nov. C.
Mary Ella was elected chapter
sweetheart by a large majority
from five possible candidates be
cause of her friendliness and rep-
utation as a student in the Gra-
ham High School.
Her home is on a farm near
in-the-grove, I South Bend and she understands
better the goals of the Future
Farmers. She has the honor of be-
ing a cheer leader as well as
chapter* sweetheart.
The chapter has always taken

At Flint Creek
Thur». Evening

A large crowd attended the box
supper held at Flint Creek Thurs-
day evening and everyone had a
good time. A total of $105 was
made on the evening’s entertain-
ment and will be used to purchase
additional seats for the building
Henry Schlittler was in charge
of the excellent program, and the
Brazos River Play Boys’ string
band was the main feature for the
evening. Soloists included Betty
Sue Briwster. Mary Virginia Lee. |
Opal Phillips. Mrs. Dorothy Cask-’
ey, and Icsh Sanders N. V. Mc-
Culley was the speaker for the
evening, and Spencer Mayes auc-
tioned the boxes and conducted
the ugly man and pretty girl con-
test.
Juanel! Baird was voted the
prettiest girl with Mary Virginia
Le and Betty Sue Brewster also
in the finnls. Donnie Allen was
voted the ugliest man with O-

Farmers Home
Administration
Mrs. Kathleen Kinks has ac-
cepted a position with the Farm-
ers Home Administration office in
this city. She was formerly em-
ployed at the Army Air Force
training command in Fort Worth.
Attends C. of C Meeting
W. E. Simpaon, manager of the
local Chamber of Commerce, at-
tended the meeting of the West
Tsxaa Chamber of Commerce held
in Abilene last Friday.
A number of recommendations
were passed during the session.

chosen last week by Miss Fran-
ces Newton, the girls’ physicia!
education instructor. They were:
Margaret Downey. Inez Grubbs,
Pat Howard, Lavelle Loftin, Vir-
ginia Orr, Pauline Sanderson.
Francis Childress. Christine Cox.
Helen Biggers, and Mildred Sulli-
van. The girls will play with near
by schools. A schedule is to be
made in order to date the games
