miles. The old Cotton Belt right-1
of-way Is being followed and the
present contract calls for an all-
weather ealiche road
Work is going forward rapidly
on the concrete bridge across In-
dian Creek Just east of Coman-

bonds can not be forwaraed They
may remain in the local post of-
fice thirty days, and if not de-
livered will be returned to the

Troy Cauley Holding
Good Gov’t. Position
Troy Cauley, son of Mr. and
Mrs. W. C. Cauley of Comanche,
is holding one of the more Impor-
tant government positions In the
Southeast under the New Deal
Program. He is in charge of the
Resettlement work in Georgia,
Alabama, Florida add South Caro-
lina and is drawing a salary of
$4000.
Troy is a member of the faculty
of Georgia Tech and obtained a
two yean leave of absense to en-
ter the Federal services.
After graduating from the Uni-
versity of Texas. Troy went north
for his Ph D. degree.

BURIED MONDAY
Samuel Cash.
resident of
Comanche for 26 years, died here
at 12:30 Sunday afternoon from
heart trouble and injuries re-
ceived three weeks earlier when
he was In an automobile accident.
Funeral sendees were held at
the resident Monday afternoon
with Rev. A. Edwin Wilson offi-
ciating. Interment was In Oak-
wood Cemetery Fail bearers were

of Comanche. Elmer Little of Ous-
tlne; Tom McCulley. W. J. Boler
and Jule Richmond of Blanket.
Mr. Cash was born in Marion.
Illinois. 'October 14. 1849 and

ter flavor than those raised in
the Rio Orande Valley; and the
writer knows because he is a
heavy onion eater and has eaten
many pounds raised in both
places.
