The Eagle was called on this
week to print the largest sales
bill ever printed in Junction. In
advertising his annual summer
sale, which opens tomorrow,
Phillip Joseph, local dry goods
man, is distributing several
thousand sales bills, 26x40 inch-
es, being the size of four pages
the size used by this paper.
The linotype slugs and dis-
play type were all set in this
plant * Saturday and Monday,
and the cuts were all made here
in our own casting equipment.
While we are not boosting
our own ability to turn out such
work, in a small town plant, we
feel that this is an accomplish-
ment that the average town, the
size of Junction, does not have
the facilities for handling, and
we believe that the thousands
who see these large circulars
will agree that it is a very cred-
itable piece of work.
These circulars were all print-
ed and folded, ready to be
placed in the envelopes, in about
two hours, Monday.
The Joseph store has accum-
ulated a very large stock of dry
goods, clothing, shoes, etc., and
in order to reduce this large
stock and to give the people the
advantage of an annual reduc-
tion, they have opened this sale
Saturday which will continue
tl rough next week.
UNITS OF LAND MEASURE.
you will have 5,280 feet which
is a mile. But suppose you
wanted to know how many var-
as there were in 5,280 feet, you
multiply 5,280 feet by C6 and
cut off the decimals and you will
have 1900.8 varas.
Try this out on other figures
and try to think in varas in-
stead of feet and yards.
Cut this out and save it for
the day when you will need it.
—Exchange.

We have a big stock of cotton
or wool blankets, priced right.
Extra discount on two or more.
Also a line of comforts.
