HALLOWE’EN PARTY.
^ After the regular meeting of
the Woodmen Circle Tuesday
night, Mrs. W. P. Riley enter-
tained the Circle at her home
with a Hallowe’en party.
A« the guests arrived, white
robed figures met them at the
gate, passing them on to a
witch, who brushed cob-webs
tiom the skv, while you ran to
dodge the old witch and broom,
the “Red Devil” took a punch
a’ you with a pitch-fork and as
you hurried by, bats, black cats
owls and everything creepy,
with the yellow glow from the
pumpkin faces, made you laugh
and want to run and cry at the
same time.
Mrs. Riley had the living
room and the room adjoining
decorated in the most artistic
manner; bringing out the Hal-
lowe’en idea in every detail;
black and yellow was the color
scheme. The yellow pumpkins
gave that weird look that mel-
iow> the light and by the time
all the queer contests were over
you imagined that Owls and bats
were everywhere.
Mrs. Riley served a plate
luncheon with witch favors that
gave each one a rediculous stunt
to do. Mrs, Carl Wolf, as witch
and Miss Rachael McDonald, as
Dm “Red Devil” danced while
Miss Elizabeth Patterson play-
ed the piano. These three la-
dies assisted Mrs. Rilev through
out the evening.
The guests were, Misses ('la-
in fritz, Doris Holekamp, Bon-
ui( Oliver, Mesdames Joe Fritz,
Lee Lowry, H. Holekamp, Tom’
Jones, Riley Felps, Lucy Mot-
tey. U. Joseph, John Hankins.

The Same Principle
THAT Applies to your business, applies to ours.
THE MAN On the ranch who succeeds is not the one
who, by some scheme or underhanded method, is

man is the one who studies carefully, every phase
of his business, and applies the results of this care,
ful study to his daily labors.
THE SAME Is true of the farmer. Those who, year af-
ter year, study the practical needs of their soils,
consider their markets, and provide themselves
with labor saving equipment, all coupled with a
strict economy, are the only ones who can succeed.
THE FACT That some ranchmen and farmers succeed,
is evidence of the fact that they have benefitted by
their observation and experience. Just so in a
banking business. For many years we have care
fully studied the banking needs of this community
and our experience has become one of our most
valuable assets. By reason of this careful study of
the needs of the community and of our knowledge
of the technical side of bunking, we are able to ren.
dor to our customers a superior kind of service.
