Mr. W. H. Raw son, Jr. Re-
porter for the Tivy High School
of Kerrville, sends us the fol-
lowing article for publication,
which we are glad to use in the
interest of big events:
Long boys, short boys, fat

the surrounding country, and we
will get all kinds, will be in

been made with the City offi-
cials of that place to handle the
large number of boys who will
be in that city as the guests of
the Kerrville Hi-Y Club, under
whose auspices the big event of
the year will be staged.
What is all the excitement
about some one is sure to ask.
Mr. Harry Rimmer, of Los An-
gelos Cal., Nation wide speaker
to High School Boys, and an
athelete of international repu-
tation will be in Kerrville for
an entire day and has agreed to
make four addresses to the boys
and men while there.
Special invitations have been
sent out by the Hi-Y Club to all
the surrounding towns and
schools to urge all older boys to
be present to hear this man who
has created such a sensation
among the boys of Texas as a
result of his addresses to the
Older Boys Conference at A. &
M. College last January.

Every right-minded man or woman is proud of
their home, proud of their town and community and
proud of their immediate section of the State. Those
not so disposed should move away from it. Also, every
man or woman is constantly striving to improve their
own condition, by working for the common good of the
community. The condition of the individual is in a
large measure left to himself to deteriorate or improve,
but the stability, progress and desirability of the com-
munity is dependent on the combined efforts of ail the
members of the community and the institutions within
When properly supported and properly managed,
what other institution in a community can perform a
more necessary service in its development and progress
than a newspaper? The loyalty of the people of this
community to The Junction Eagle cannot find an equal
in the entire country. The support it receives from the
people of Kimble County is a constant incentive to cre-
ate the very best that can be had in the way of a news-
paper that will serve the needs of the community.
During the past two decades, Kimble County has
made unusual progress towards a better and happier
life for all. During the next few years, it will make
even greater progress. The Eagle will keep pace with
this onward march, and will direct every effort to giv-
ing the people a newspaper that will serve their needs
and merit their continued unqualified support.
The progress of the community will depend on
your knowledge of what is going on at all times. When
you know what other people are doing, you will know
better what to do yourself. There can be no better way
of obtaining this necessary information than through
the columns of the Eagle.
