NINE MEASURES ARE
SIGNED BY GOV ERNOR.
Governor Neff today disposed
of thirteen more bill passed by
the regular session of the Legis-
lature. Nine measures were ap-
proved by the chief executive
and filed with the Secretary of
State, while four were filed to
become laws without his signa-
ture. Among the bills signed
is that appropriating $17,500 to
the state health department for
the next two years to carry on
mosquito control work in Texas.
The $25,000 appropriation to
the prison commission to meet
a note for the payment of cer-
tain mules purchased for the
prison system, also was approv-
ed by the Governor.
Persons are prohibited from
keeping dogs that are accus-
tomed to run, worry or kill goats
sheep or poultry, under terms
of the Thomas bill signed by the
