Fifty-seven, years ago. the ck»-

answers made by the pupils
Commencement programs today
make no effort to show how schol-
arly the pupils are. The student’s
duty is to listen to the advice 'of
who have already taken
the step he Is about to take. An
attempt is made, through the
counsel of the speakers, to im-

make some sort of a bbquest about
this time of the year, but we have,
instead, a request to mbke. Sever-
al years ago our school library
was judged one of the best in the
State by the inspector. Since then,
the funds that formerly suppoijted
the library having been di.scon-
ttaued. the library Has deterioated.
The school, with its constant ex-
pansion program drawing heavily
on its finances, Is not able at the
present tone to add many new
books to the library. Our request
is that some civic-minded organ-
Ration or group replace tort and |**i-
worn books, add new reading
matter, and make this depart-
ment of our school second to none.

This Senior newspaper was a
short-lived afafir. dying with its
first edition. Into this one issue
we have tried to crowd four whole
years of happy scliool days: we
have tried to bring out thq humor
of those four years, the merriment
we enjoyed, the co-operation, we
received, and the progress we
made. It has been our hope that,
through this edition, wc could pre-
serve the history of one of Co-
