- beginning at 8 o'clock the Judg-
.°n Wednesday. August 6. the
peaches and melons will be Judg-
ed along with the community
boooths, 4-H and Future Home-
maker* of America divisions. The
queen’s reception will be held at
SflO p.m. In the Travelers Hotel.
A big street parade will be held
at S pm Miss Sue Hall. “Mias
Comanche” will represent Coman-
ohe and ride in the parade. •
The queen's coronation will be
held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the
Festival Grounds, her ball at 9
pm; and a merchandise draw-
ing at 10 p.m.
Highlight Thursday night, Aug-
ust 8. will be Sonny Jamas, The
Southern Gentlemen, on the stage
at the Festival Grounds. Merch-
andise drawings will again be
held Thursday night.
Friday night beginning at 7*0
o’clock an old fiddlers contest
will be featured.
A free melon slicing will he
held on De Leon’s main street at
4 pm Saturday, the final day of
the Festival. Then at 7:00 Sat-
urday night the big melon auc-
tion will be held. At 8:30. Pete
Tv rone and his Quartet, will fur-
nish special free entertainment.
The "Miss De Leon" contest will
close at 9 p.m., and the winner
will be announced.
The Festival Committee also
announce* that the Big State
Shows will again be at the Fes-
tival.

The twenty-sixth annual meet

Cooperative will be held Friday,
August T, at Indian Memorial
Stadium in Comanche. The meet-
ing is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Two directors will be elected
at the meeting. A. N. Boyd of
Guetlne Is up for re-election to
the board from District 1 (Co-
manche County B.E. Place); and
Don Compton, Rt. I, Moran and
Virgil Morris, Rt. 3, Cisco, are
rsndidates from District 3 (Ste-
phen* and Shackelford Counties).
