in the campaign for TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR,

born and reared in Comanche County, graduating
from Comanche High School in 193K Since that
time 1 have been engaged in farming in and around
the Fairview community, except for two yefirs spent
in the armed services, one of which «aj», in the
Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.

maln- liam U-e and Martha Ann Lane,
was born August 31, 1889 at
Bryan. +
Mr Lane had lived in and near-
Comanche for th^ past 59 years, I
and during most of that time I
was engaged in farming. After!
moving to Comanche, he engag-
ed In carpenter work and furnl- ;
ture repairing
At the age of 2-1. Mr Lane was
married September 28, 1910 to
Miss Maud Roberson, who sur-
vives.
Other survivors include two
sons. Jack and 'William 1 Willie)
Lane, both rff Comanche; two
daughters. Mrs, Howard Lewis of
Comanche and Mrs. John Nor-
rid Of Odessa; a brother. Jim
Lane of Brownwood; a sister,
Mrs May Stagner of San Diego,
California: -nine._ grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.
Two sons preceded Mr Lane in
death.
