The bride who was secretary of
the Electra Chamber of Commerce
some years ago was reared at Plain-
view. She is a daughter of Mrs. C.
A. Workman, formerly of this city
but who now resides in Tennessee.
Prior to entering military, service as
a WAC, two and one-half years ago,
Mrs. Holcomb was employed in the
office of-Dr. C. A. Wettstone, pastor
of the First Presbyterian church at
Wichita Falls. She was engaged in
army personnel work with the AAF
at Midland and Amarillo before re-
ceiving her discharge some weeks
ago%
Mr. Holcomb, a native of the Pan-
handle area, is a son of Mr. and Mrs.
J. J. Holcomb of Panhandle. He
volunteered for military service
shortly after the Pearl Harbor at-
tack and spent two and one-half
years overseas. At present he is en-
gaged in farming and stock raising
with his father and after a honey-
moon trip to Colorado and Wyom-
ing/ the couple will reside in Pan-
handle.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Frandsen mov-
ed last week to’ Carrollton, where
Mr. Frandsen has entered business.
Mr, Frandsen, who before volunter-
ing for service with the Navy Sea-
bees 4 years ago, was employed with
the Texas Torpedo Company, re-
turned some months ago from the
Pacific but saw service in both the
Atlantic and the Pacific. Mrs. Frand-
sen has been commercial teacher in
Electra high school but resigned
last week to join her husband in es-
tablishing their home at Carrollton.
Mrs^ob. Lindsey^r., who jwa&
teaching other subjects in the high
school has assumed charge of the
commercial classes. Mrs. Joseph
Perkins is temporarily substituting
for Mrs. Lindsey.

ing report on, the. program there.
"Grain- products” will, be • the
theme for the club booth in the
Wichita County Fair.
Plans were made, for a. picnic , and
Easter Egg hunt for the Barwise
club members, and their families, on
the S. S. Marshall farm on Easter
Sunday.
Miss Cathryn Sands spoke in be-
half of a County-Wide home de-
monstration club picnic to be held
at the Wichita Valldy Farms club-
house on May 7.. Registration will
begin at 10 A. M, The picnic will i
be held, in honor of the agents and
outstanding women in home demon-
stration work in Wichita county.
.She also gave a demonstration on
making an Easter Bunny from a
child’s anklet.

H.D. CLUB MEETING
Mrs. Judd Irby was hostess, April
15, to members of the County Line
home demonstration club. Mrs. Carl
Moeller, president, presided. Mrs.
Tom Self led'the club motto, prayer
and pledge and she also led the. as-
sembly in singing the opening song.
Roll call was answered with “My
most expensive bargain”. Mrs. Irby,
council delegate, gave the council
meeting report and also reported on
