pcesent musical numbers.
The pastor, Rev. S. R. Brannon,

of this community to attend the

The deceased had been in ill health
several months. Her death took
place at *her home in Olney Friday
evening. Interment was in the Ol-
ney Cemetery. Survivors other than
the daughters who reside in Eectra
include a son, Lon Denson of Bowie
and two other daughters, Mesdames
Glen Matheson of Hedrick, Oklaho-
ma and Reuben Burrow of Snyder,
Texas.

for exaco's Lockport, 111.,
The new' unit is equipped with the
largest fractionating tower everted
on a “cat cracker”. With it the (re-
finer is able to squeeze,- on an ..aver-
age, ‘an additional two gallonsV of
gasoline .out of every barrel of crude
oil. Designed to process high ofctane
gasoline for components of aircraft
it is now turning out 13,000 barrels
per day of high octane automotive
fusls and Mr. Haipern predict^ that
by the end of the year the new) unit
will be pushed up to 20,000 barrels
a day. ^ l
Production of alkylate, the all-im-
portant ingredient of high octane
aviation/ gasoline at a record daily
rate of 85,840 gallons a day since
1939 by the Texaco alkylation unit
at Port Arthur, Texas, has been an-
nounced by Mr.,Haipern who 'says
the plant was originally designed to
produce 30,000 gallons a day of* this
gasoline blending agent which ‘con-
sists chiefly of iso-octanes.
The plant which pioneered in mak-
ing blending materials is now pro-
ducing 120,000 gallons a day. .

' Funeral services were held Fri:
day,; at the' First Baptist church, for
Benjamin F. Howard, age 77, who
died at .the home of his .son-, E. A.
Howard, at 205 ’East Summit ^Ave-
nue, Thursday .morning.v Rev W. W,
Rivers, pastor officiated in the rites
and the J. B. Totten Funeral Home
was in charge of the arrangements.
Burial was in the Electra Cemetery.
The deceased, a retired farmer,
was born in Arkansas. He and his
family moved to the County Line
community about thirteen years ago
but moved to Electra when his heath
failed.
Survivors include his wife, two
daughters, Mrs. J. C. Ross, Clovis,
New Mexico and Miss Mildred How.-
ard, Wichita Falls; two sens, E. A.
Howard, Electra and G. F. Howard,
Fort Worth.
The Electra State’ Bank wan clon-
ed all day, Friday, in honor of Mr.
Howard, whone daughter ini aw, Mrs.
Mildred Howard, is assistant cash-
ier and, his brotherinlaw, M. R. Stipe,
is a member of the board of direct-
ors.

Church beginning June 16 at 403 E.
Harrison St. . The Rev. Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Fergerson from. Dumas,
Ark. are the Evangelists......
Brother Fcrgerson. served, in; the
armed forces of World War 2 and
