dramatic reviewer^, failing to recog/.
ni2Le her, praising her artistic .ability
as an actress and dancer that she was
identified and forced to use her full
name. When her success in London
was assured she consented to appear
in America at Hammerstein’s Roof
Garden. Hera'the praise she had re
ceived in London for her work was
echoed. All reference to the unfortu-
nate affair that brought her to the
public attention years ago was forgot-
ten in the praise of her ability as both
an actress and a dancer.
Owing to the enormous demand for
seats for the engagement of Evelyn
Nesbit Thaw at the Wichita theatre,
the management of the theatre will
fill mail orders as received for the ac-
commodation of out of town patrons.
Mrs. Thaw will appear in the fa-
mous musical divertissement from the
Alhambra theatre, London, “Mari
ette,” by Maurice Volny.
The most talked of woman in the
world comes direct to this city from
an enthusiastic engagement at the
London Hippodrome and Hammer-
stein’s Roof Garden, New York City.
In both cities she has received col-
umns of praise for her artistic per-
formances; the fact that she has fig-
ured in the newspaper^oru^the past
6ix years being cojppletely igrfyred.
