Let’s join on this date in paying tribute to the sac*
rifices which have made our counter great. •
One of the greatest tragedies of our modern rim—
is the apparent reluctance by Americans to express their
love of country , . . today it appears to be fashionable
to sneer at any one who speaks sincerely of these United
States and refer to him as a “flag waver.’*
The tragedy of these practices is compounded in
their interpretation by our country’s enemies as signs
of disunity and weakness. In one generation, the creed
of America’s manhood has answered the call to arms —
to fight, to bleed and to die on foreign soil — to prove
wrong our enemies’ concepts of our willingness to per-
petuate the cause of individual 4berty.
Today, the hazards of miscalculation by the forcee
seeking world domination are even greater. An ill-ad*
vised maneuver, based on their opinion of American uni-
ty, could plung the world into a thermonuclear holocaust
The answer to this problem is basically simple. A
nationwide demonstration by Americans of tnetr |iili#
ism — of their determination to perpetuate their price-
less heritage — would be a sobering influence on those
who prate of our nation’s decadence.
Let's ring the bells at 11 a m., April IB.
