Byers School Notes
We have started this month in
a line way. This is the last one
tor this year and had you thought
that this will 1>e the last one
that a great number ot the pu-
pils will ever attend again mote
so in the grades. That is a sad
condition tor the children to be
kept out of school until they get
so hurjje they, are ashamed to be
m the grades anil just drop out
ol school.. After pupils get to
high school they are likely to go
on and finish. The ones that
are hardest hit are those Irotu
the fourth to the seventh grade.
Parents think these things over
and see that you are not stand-
ing in the wav of some bright
son or daughter.
This is the week that several
of the pupils go . to Iowa Park
to contest with students front
nine other counties. Myers
makes a record on cotton, chick-
ens, etc., so now we should try
and help 1 he sc students make a
record for us in an educational
way. Go over to see this meet.
We hope that you do and be a
booster for your. town.
Wi had a Lyceum • representa-
tive here last week and we secure
about thirty people to sigh this
contract. Now, this certainly
speaks well for Byers to think
of that number getting behind a
thing that mentis so much for
the town. These people were
seen and the contract turned
over in about an hour. Mighty
good.
We are going to have a folder
out in the next levy days telling
you people what we are going
to offer next year and we want
y ou to get one and at the same
time you think and think much
about where you are. going to
send that child ol yours next
year. We will appreciate getting
your children into onr school
and when you send them to sec
it will be yours as well as ours.
Remember this is the day of
hard work and special, prepara-
tion and you might hatc .it m
after life if you did not give the
child the best. that was alfprd
you him.. We will fry and pinko
the work very intereistiag bn
you as a parent and . also the
student.' *.
