area agencies on aging
represents the beginning of a
new partnership w ith regional
offices and the Governor's
Committee on Aging, a
combined effort to bring
about a comprehensive ap
proach to implementing pro-
grams for the aged in Texas
Jack McCoy, newly appmn
led director of the AAA. who
has been employed by
AT COG for two years,
described the agency's first
tasks as being those of
establishing a regional advi-
sory council to Ihe AAA. and
identifying, coordinating and
establishing, where neces-
sary, an information and
referral service throughout
Ihe AT-COG nine-county
region in Texas to insure that
all eligible persons have
access to the social services
available

The Bogata Church of
Christ congregation totaled 92
last Sunday, with a contribu-
tion of $192.93. Visitors were
present from Littlefield, Pres-
ton. Wichifa Falls and
Jackson, Mississippi
Donations for Boles Or-
phans Home have been stored
at the church, and will be
picked up in two weeks
Bible study is af 10:00 a m.
each Sunday, followed by the
worship service at 10:45
Evening Bible study is at 6:00
Sunday, followed by Ihe
evening worship service at
6:30. Wednesday night ser-
vices are at 7:30. Ladies'
Bible Class meets at 3:00 p m
each Wednesday and the
group has invited the ladies of
Bogata to attend

was repeated in unison Ten
members answered roll call
with “My Favorite Spot in
Texas". Mrs Audrey Scott
demonstrated a hand woven
sweater coat, the hostess
showed a picture frame made
from molding clay and
finished with foil and an-
tiquing Mrs F.P. Brumley
gave the program on the
History of Texas.
Refreshments were served
and the club adjourned to
meet August 15 with Mrs R J
Holt.
