EXPRESSED IN SIX DIF-
FERENT LANGUAGES
Many readers of this paper have
been wondering what the little spaces
mean which appeared in this paper
this week, along with some special
value quoted. Those cards appearing
above the specials quoted all meant
the same thing, and it is simply this
^Today’s Values are the Greatest
|n Business History.” Some of the
readers were able to translate the
French and German. The whole idea
fe simply this. A number of Lam-
pasas merchants are offering some
Teal values and the specials were
given without the signature of the
firm in order to create some interest
fen the message they are sending you
fen this paper today.
Look over the advertisements m
this issue and see how much your
money will buy today from Lam-
pasas merchants. Today’s values
jure truly the greatest in business his-
tory as every line of merchandise is
jfteadily advancing and when present
ptecks of the stores are exhausted
you will be charged according to re-
placement prices. Lampasas mer-
chants carry real stocks in all iine3
of merchandise and it will always
be to your interest to get their pri-
ces before buying.

THOMAS MeGEHEE’S
FORD COUPE STOLEN
A Ford coupe belonging to Thomas
McGehee was stolen early Thursday
morning from in front of his home.
Miss Mamie Ayneswoi'th saw two
men pushing the car away from the
house and notified Thomas. Sheriff’s
officers were called but were unable
to locate the car or the thieves at
the time.
The car was discovered Thursday
morning by John Ernest in his pas-
ture four miles out of town on the
Nix road. The thieves had stripped
the car of all wheels, tools, the bat-
tery, etc.
The car had just been purchased a
few days ago by Mr. McGehee and
was left standing in front of the
house with all doors locked.
