on tho strcots early this morning was
much smaller than on pro lous morn-

last evening aro directly responsible for

emerge from their resting places and
available points of observation along tho
line of march were soon occupied by tho
mass of jovial patient perspiring spec-
tators Last night and this mornings

Knights and Visitors although tho exo

trary to general expectations tho par-
ticipants in tbli parado were prompt in
their movements and began to report at

As the procession passed the reviewing
stand arlous evolutions woro gone
throagh by tho Knights and tho bands
sixtytwo In number which accompanied
them and every skillful or unusually fine
movement was loudly applauded by the

tho four tows Of windows In tho capacious
Exposition building foug ocforo the
last division of the procession had
passed the reviewing stand the head had
reached tho point ot dlsbandment at tho
entrance to tho Grand Kucampmenthall

between watching the trades display and
attending the receptions held by tbe va-
rious commanderles
Tho trades display was gotten up on a
very magnificent tcale but Its effect was
somewhat marred by the general Illumina-
tion of tbo streets along the line of march
A large number of lioats wero In line and
the paradewas participated In by a por-
tion of the fire and police departments
and the flambeau club which
latter made a lino appearance and
kept the sky ablaze with bursting
Homan candle balls and other fireworks
Though not In reality a part of the con-
clave festivities the trades display
claimed the almost undivided attention
ot a largo portion of the visiting Knights
Along tbo entire route tho street wore
thronged with spectators Window priv-
ileges wero at a premium while stands
along the route were packed with sight-
seers
