Rationing Books Must Be Returned For
Deceased and Men Inducted Into Service
All ration books of deceased
persons and persons inducted in-
to the armed forces must be re-
turned except:
The basic “A” gasoline ration
book of an inductee may be re-
tained by the inductee if he still
owns his automobile and it is
being used by someone entitled
to use it; and
The basic “A” gasoline ration
book of a deceased person may
be retained by any person entitl-
ed to use the automobile for
which the ration book was issued.
All other ration books must be
returned—before you call or reg-
ister for BOOK TWO.
Your LOCAL BOARD has been
requested to take all necessary
steps to obtain the books from
the person who fails to return
theirs.
