The bridesmaids’ dresses were
of pastel shades of nylon tulle
over taffeta. They were fashioned
with tight fitted bodices that
were embroidered in sequins and
seed pearls. The full floor length
skirts were gathered to pointed
bodices and worn over crinolines.
They carried cascade bouquets sof
carnations in colors matching
their dresses. Miss Jan Clark, the
flower girl, wore a dress of light
pink net.
Donald Horne, brother of the
groom, was best man. Gary
Boehnke, brother of the bride,
and Paul McDonald, were grooms-
men. The ushers were Jimmy
Lueders and Edsel Renken. Joe
Clark was ring bearer.
Recaption in Church Parlor
The reception was held in the
church parlor following the cere-
mony. The bride’s table was laid
with a white linen cloth with in-
seta of handmade lace and clus-
ters of embroidery. It was ruffled
with white net over pink banded
with silver braid and dotted with
silver sequins. The centerpiece
was pink and white carnations in
a crystal bowl flanked by pale
pink tapers in silver candelabras.
A miniature bride and groom
topped the four tiered wedding
cake.

member of Phi Theta Kappa. She
also attended Southwest Texas
State Teacher’s College.
The groom is a graduate of
Robstown High School and at-
tended Del Mar College.

Saturday evening. The bride is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wal-
ter E. Boehnke of this city and
the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Max Edward Horne, London
Community, Corpus Christi.
The double ring wedding vows
were read by Rev. Gordon Bird-
well before a white wedding arch
garlanded with Southern smilax
and mums. Floor baskets of large
white mums and gladioli were
placed at either side of the arch
and the chancel rail was entwined
with smilax, with emerald trees
completing the setting. Cathedral
tapers burned in seven branched
white candelabras and along the
choir rail.
Traditional wedding music was
played by Mrs. W. L. Evans, Jr.
Mrs. Evans accompanied Miss
Mary Barecky who sang “Be-
cause" and Mr. David Blanton
who sang “The Lord’s Prayer”
and "Until.”
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a wedding
gown of imported alencon lace
and bridal satin. The smoothly
molded bodice was designed with
on offshoulder neck line edged
in hand appliqued motifs of the
lace. The long lace sleeves ended
in petal points over the hands.
The full circular skirt of satin
was overlaid with a deep flounce
of the lace appliqued to the satin
in points following the design of
the lace. Worn over hoops and
crinolines, it swept into a full
cotillion train. Her tiered veil of
French silk illusion was finger
tip length and fell from a tiara
encrusted with seed pearls, rhine-
stones and irridescent sequins.
She carried a cascade bouquet j Denver
of French carnations centered
with a white orchid. The flowers
were tied with French tulle and
satin streamers.
Miss Billie Jean Lueders was
maid of honor and Mrs. Melvra
Gallion was matron of honor. The
bridesmaids were Miss Era Mc-
