BOB SKIFFS’ STATEMENT.
1 just heard of Mr. Kuiden's conten-
tion ut 1:30 o’clock. I cannot believe
that any such political chicanery can
win in Fannin county. Mr. ltuidcu
received 1280 votes out of more than
five thousand; 1 received 1235. lie
and I have both campaigned during
the lust week for the “run-off.” Ho
evidently was not gratified by the
prospect of ever getting u majority
and is seeking to get the office on
less than 1-8 of the votes east.
I believe this office is determined |
by the people and if the people vote
for me I shull represent them, M".
Kuiden's legal technicalities notwitl -
standing.
1 am still in the race and ask all
fair-minded men to uid me in de-
feating a man who would stoop to
thus defeat the will of the majority
of the people in a Democratic election
