pened to quite a serious accident
which resulted in the loss of his
lbft band. He was working
about the gin saws, when, in
some manner his hand was
caught in the rapidly moving
saws and before he could release
himself his hand was horribly
mangled. He was rushed to the
drug store of Ellis Giles where
medical attention was given him.
His hand and fingers were so
blidly cut up that amputation
was necessary, and Dr. J. J. Pen-
gergrass, assisted by Drs. Ewing
and Watkins, . performed the
