Parrish resigns county

Longtime Wood County Information Technology
(IT) Director Randy Parrish resigned during Friday's
Wood County commissioner's Court meeting.
Upon returning from an executive session with
Wood County commissioners and Judge Bryan
Jeanes, Parrish, who is also the mayor of Winnsboro,
cited "I have been with the county for 13 years and
have done the best I could do. There comes a time to
pursue other opportunities. I tender my resignation
as chief executive officer of the IT department."
Parrish made a recommendation to the court. "I am
not leaving with any ill will or hard feelings. I thank
the court for the years of support and wish you all
