Any such office, abolished by whatever means will cease
to eaist at the end of the present office holder’s term.
Besides these two. mil* I gave my support to other out-
right abolition bills for various counties that were introduced
Iqr several members of the legislature.
It Is to be hoped that passage of these two bills will help
to combat the growing cynicism among both voters snd legis-
lators about our democratic processes; on the one hand, it
wiUprove to the voters that useless offices can be abolished;
oa the other hand, it will prove to members of the legislature
thet notoll voter*aretatereatod solely in selfish self-intersst
legislation.

While driving around a lake,
John and Mary saw a “for Sale”
sign on a piece of lake property
which they thought they could af-
ford to buy.
They made inquiry of the owner
and agreed on a price They in-
quired about title snd the owner
assured them that he would give
them an "abstract”. They took the
abstract, which was a fat book of
papers, and the deed, filed the
deed at the courthouse snd thought
,no more about it, assuming, asj home from « visit in Houston with,

It makes good sense to correct any
