turned from 28 months in North
Africa. Italy, Belgium, France I
and Germany, wearing two Presi-
dential Citations, one from the
French.
Lt. John M. (Mac) Howison
had been released from a Ger-
man prison camp, Stalag Luft N.
1, near the Baltic.
T/Sgt. Tony L. White hud been
discharged at Ft Sam Houston
after four years Army duty. He
had been with the 5th Army's
85th "Custer" Division in Italy,
and had received the Purple
Heart and Bronze Star.
2nd Lt. Louis V. Sawyer had
been awarded Silver Star medal
in Lyon, France, for gallantry in ■
action. He was the son of Mr.i
and Mrs. G. A. Sawyer.
Miss Hester Lee Kennedy and'
