,Y IN ADVANCE
This is the time of year when we
have weather, weather or not.
If you’re feeling influenzial, may-
be you’d better try this simple home
remedy, which may keep you out of
the flu-flow: M. E. Nobles of De-
port says that when he complained
last week of having that fluie feel-
ing Madam Nobles advised him to
take a dose of soda. M. E. did, and
it helped the feeling so much that
he repeated the dose at noon. That
night, before retiring, he decided a
third dose was needed, so he went
to the kitchen after it. Madam No-
bles followed, watched him, told
him that he had been taking baking
powder instead of soda. M. E. ad-
mits that for a while he thought his
cake was dough, but he hasn’t had
the flu yet.

flighty variety that allowed him to

his bed and fanned cold sweat out
of him all night long.

There is something in common be-
tween the sky-piloting Purilans of
yesterday and the airplane pilots of
today. Each looked eagealy for-
ward to Sunday and church time.
James Grant, Flying Cadet out in
California, writes home that the so-
cial activities of the cadets are re-
stricted to Sunday church services
—day services,' at that. And he
likes it. Elbert Veteto Jr., too,
though Elbert is now at Randolph
Field and gets a bit more liberty.
Because the Lord loves a cheer-
ful giver we should not conclude
that he does not also love a cheer-
ful liver.
