Hospital to Get
Added $21,575
Financial status of Lamar Med-
W. C.Barnard of Bogata, Mr. and i jcal Center took a healthy jump
Tuesday when the Lamar County
Commissioners Court voted to
appropriate an additional $21,978
for the hospital fund.
Originally, the court appropri-
ated $15,000 for the county’s ar-
ticipation in the expense of La-
mai Medical Center. The new
total net cost participation by the
county now totals $36,579.
L. C. Johnson, couny auditor,
said the additional appropriation
will be made available by redis-
tribution of the 95-cent constitu-
tional tax levy, which in essense,
will mean a lesser amount for
the road and bridge fund.

dock of Dallas, spent from Wed-
nesday until Sunday with their
grandmother, Mrs. Amy Crad-

Pick Anderson underwent ma-
jor surgery in a Clarksville hos-
pital Thursday night. His chil-
dren, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Rags-
dill, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Floyd
and Billy Joe Anderson of Dal-
las, Mrs. Raymond Hadley of
Winnsboro, Roy Anderson, Pat-
ton vi lie and Ulyus Anderson have
been attending him.
Mis. L. A. Pope returned home
to Bagwell, Tuesday, after spend-
ing several days with Mrs. Sid
Wright and Mrs. Bill Harbison.
