Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Watts re-
port their son, O'Neil Watts, in-
jured in a car-motorcycle collis-
kn on May 3 in Tennessee, had
regained consciousness, but* was
still suffering much pain. His
right leg was broken in the knee,
requiring an operation and right
hand almost severed, and multi-
ple bruises.
Mrs. Jerry Dodd, a recent pa-
tient in Methodist hospital in
Dallas for surgery, was brought
to her home Friday night.

Senior Banquet
Thursday, May 5
“Out of This World” was the
theme of Bogata’s Junior-Senior
Banquet held Thursday, May Z,
at the Alps Cafe in Mount Pleas-
ant. Eighty-eight junior, seniors,
faculty, board members and
guests were present for the af-
fair.
The spacious dining room was
decorated to resemble the Space-
ship “Futuer,” ready to blast off
to Mars with the seniors aboard
Sputnik based candles placed on
s-'lver star crepe streamers cen-
tered the long tables, while a
huge planet, sputnik candles, and
large rockets decorated the head
table. Overhead stars, small
planets, and satellites were sus-
pended.

Crash Monday
A ’57 Ruick. occupied by Mr.
and Mrs Billy Pirtle and three
children of Bognta received'
damages estimated at $300 in a
collision with another car at Mt.
Pleasant Monday.
The accident occurred when a
Dallas salesman reportedly ran a
red light, the vehicle he was driv-
ing crashed into the Pirtle car.
Mrs. Pirtle suffered a minor arm
injury and one of the children, a
bump on the head.
