Opening or the Talco Asphalt
and Refining Plant at Mt. Pleas-
nat. had atracted over 5,000
/spectators.
Charles Singleton of Talco had
been badly hurt in an automobile
accident.-1
/ A new came located in the
building which formerly housed
the Walker Feed Store, known as
the Trojan, had opened in Talco.
Miss Donna Lee Moss and Win-
fred Carl Pittman had been mar-
ried at the Home of the officiat-
ing minister. W. R. Jones.
C. E .Jones ,Mayop Dick Rod-
gers, Myron Gage, Luke and
Hugh Wilson ,Hayes Johnson and
Morris Justiss had returned from
Uvalde, where they killed seven
bucks and six turkeys.
Ernest Clark, son of Mr. and
Mrs .R. L. Clark and a student
at Kingsville school, had been
selected to be a member of Al-
pha Chi, a national honorary so-
ciety, based on scholastic stand-
ings of the student.
Pvt. and Mrs. Joe Blalock had
announced their marriage, which
had taken place in Texarkana on
Aug. 2.
