Remarkable Bemoostratiaa in Court
Room Follows the Verdict
of Jury.
F »rt Worth, Tex , April 24.—
“N»t guiltv” was the verdict re-
turned at 2:25 o’clock this after-
noon by the jurv in the case of
Rev. J. Frank Norris, charged
by indictment with oerjury.
Following the reading of this
verdict there was a remarkable
demonstration. Dr. Norris was
not in the court room at the
time, having gone to the home
of a friend to rest, but scores ot
women and other friend crowded
about Mrs. Norris, sobs shaking
their voices as they extended
congratulations. Others were
more demonstrative and gave a
shrill cheer. In a moment this
had swelled to what might be
called a storm of rejoicing. Al-
most hysterical laughter, cheers,
handclapping, the stamping of
feet all contributed to1 the noise,

An Almost Serious Accideot
The little daughter of J R
McKiunev, who is visiting at the
home of her grandmother, Mrs.
J W. Newman, barelv escaped
losing one of her eyes when she
fell breaking ber glasses and
forcing the pieces of glass
through the evelids. The acci-
dent happened last Wednesday
evening while at pla? in the
yard with some other little girls.
At first it was not known wheth-
er the eyesight was injured or
not, but after the blood had been
washed away by the doctor and
several stitches taken in the torn
and lacerated eyelids it was
found that she could still see and
it is now thought that the wound
is not so serious as was at first
considered.
