flies. Ten dollars are to be offer-
! ed to the ho? or girl having
caught the most flies and deliver-
ed the same to the city hall.
The flies are t& be measured by
the pint and it is thought that
the number will: be greatly re-
duced by this means. A special
prize is offered to the colored
boy or girl who brings in the
greatest number. The contest
began Monday of this week.

Cssdsctsr Kelly Hert.
S- W. Kelly, conductor on the
local which runs from Bonham
to Denison, was painfully in-
jured last Thursday at Bonham
junction just south of Denison.
Mr. Kelly was standing besidie
bis train as the other train pull-
ed in. and a lump of coal fell
striking him on the bead. The
wound was very painful but he
made his way to Denison where
it was attended to by physicians.

Senator Owens, of Oklahoma,
won in the recent primary over
ex-Governor Haskell in their race
for the United States Senate
