Wreck on Bridge
At Junction Fatal
To Ex-Bradv Boy
James Roy Williams, 17. of
Junction, a former Brady High
School boy, was killed at 0:45 p.
m. Thursday in a three-car colli-
sion on the South Llano River
bridge at the south edge of June*
tion.
He was the soil of Mrs. Zcphie
Farmer, 1701 South Bradley St.,
Brady.
Williams’ car collided almost
head-on with a northbound truck.
The car following Williams also
was damaged.
Born March 28, 1938. in Brady,
young Williams went to grammar
School in Eden and came to Brady
last, year for his first yeai in high
s< hook Since last September he
had lieeen living in Junction, work-
ing there at a service station.
He was a member of the first
Baptist Church in Eden, and the
pastor, the Rev. A. B. Reese, con-
ducted the funeral at 4 p. m. Fri-
day in Eden. Burial was in the ,
Eden Cemetery.
Survivors are his mother of
Brady; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary
Lou White of Menard and Betty
Jo Williams, 14, of Brady.

Dies in Austin
Mrs. R. A. King, 80, a We t
Texas ranch woman ind former
McCulloch County resident, died of
a heart attack at h a m. Sunday
in Seton Hospital in Austin.
Mrs. King, whose home wa in
Eldorado, had been spending the
winter in Austin and uffered her
first heart attack there thiee
weeks ago. She hud been in a ier-
ious condition since then.
Born Oct. 17, 1875, in Burnet
County, she was the former \ ir-
giniu Elizabeth Jones and came
with her parents when she was 5
years old to McCulloch f ounty;
where they hail a ranch near Bin
dy.
Married here in 1H9H, Mr. and
Mrs. King purchased a ranch in
Sutton County in the full of 1915
and then later moved to Schleicher
County where the family still own
anil operates a ranch.
Mrs. King had been a very active
ranch woman and had worked also
in duh and church activities. A
Presbyterian, she ervod for 15
years as president of the Presby-
terian Auxiliary in Brady, three
years in San Angelo, and was the
first president of the auxiliary in
Eldorado.
Survivors are two daughter ,
Mrs. Georgia Offutt of Austin and
Mr.- Vera Granville of Brady; two
sons. John Irving King of Eldorado
and Robert King of San Angelo;
six grandson and i\ gnat-
grandchildren; arid three brother ,
Sam E and Tom Jone of Eldoiado
and Cleve Jone of Sonora.

held the following day and burial
was in a Uvalde cemetery.
Mr. Jone ua- a brother of
Virgil Jones of Brady. Many years
