Judge N. G. Lyle performed the
ceremony yesterday afternoon
which united in marriage Jim Cog-1
gin and Mrs. Surah Jane Bran-1
nan. The wedding took place at j
the home of the bride in the west-1
ern part of the city and was wit- ,
nessed by a few relatives and j
friends of the contracting parties.
Mr. and Mrs. Coggin will make
their home in the Voca community
where the groom is engaged in
farming.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Proctor left
for their home in San Angelo Sun-
day night, after a very pleasant
visit to the lady’s parents, Mr. '
and Mrs. C. H. Bradley and other j
relatives and friends.

Mrs. R. A. King returned Sunday j

ied upon her return by little Misses
Georgia King and Grace Lucile
Bevans, who spent Saturday and
Sunday in Menard.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hall were |
in from the Richards Ranch to
spend Sunday.
At the home of the bride’s par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. N. G. Lyle, in
North Brady at 5:30 Sunday after-
noon Rev. I. T. Morris, pastor of
the Methodist Church, spoke the
beautiful service that united in
marriage George H. Davis and
Miss Julia Lyle.
The groom is a popular young
man of this city, a son of W. F.
Davis, and has made his home hero
for several years, where he has a
large circle of admirers. For the
past several years he has held a
responsible position in the tailor-
ing department of Mann Bros., and
is held in high esteem by all who
know him.
The bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. N. G. Lyle, prominent!
residents of the city, and a young
lady of many charms and acconi-•
plishnients. She is a popular mem-
ber of a number of social clubs
and has a host of admiring friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis will make
their home in Brady, and are at i
home to their friends at the resi-
dence of W\ F. Davis.
