PUNGENT POINTS
Worry is never stopped by “Don't.’'
When the boss is away the clerks
set gay.
Men who don’t like to fight often
wish they did.
Selfishness is a quality everybody
has—except you.
As the son is bent the father Is In-
clined to go broke.
You can’t do it all. hut it’s up to
you to do what you can.
Every man has a worthless hobby
that he wastes u lot of time on.
After’ you get a dollar In your
dutches the taiqt soon evaporates.
A patient man can win the admira-
tion of any woman except his own
wife.
All men are fools, and with’ every
effort they differ only in the degree.—
Eoileau.
Impulsive people have to bp more
watchful of their manners than slow
thinkers.
When a man has done only his
duty, you’d better cheer. So few do
their duty.
P>ig attendance doesn’t make an
event important; hut it helps an im-
portant event mightily.
It’s good to strive for big things,
hut you must he big yourself to hold
them when they come.
My happy life is due, said an old
man, to the fact that I always dis-
regarded “my opportunities.”
People are so fond of wild flowers
that It is surprising they do not raise
them in their gardens. Have your
own bed of sweet williams.

Interesting Sarcophagi
Carthaginian ruins excavated by
archeologists time on end make their
contribution to pure science as well
as religion. Father Deiattre, octoge-
narian churchman, who is serving his
faith through the field of science, has
added to his list of discoveries in his
lifelong work in archeology; Amid the
crumbling vestiges of this city's an-
cient heyday he lias located ten beau-
tiful Christian sarcophagi, which have
been deposited with the Carthage mu-
seum. Several of the sarcophagi are
made of marble and the rest are com-
posed of limestone. Six of the coffins,
one bearing the inscription “Bomanus
in Pace,” still contained some human
bones intact. A lead seal on one sar-
cophagus was found broken.
Hog Dog, a Weak Link
The age of speed i-s not complete.
It is true that women continue the
conversation while powdering their
noses, airplanes refuel in flight, trains
take on water without pausing one
moment, ships merely slow down to
drop the pilot or to catapult a mail
plane into the air, but—and here, is
where another invention Is needed—
every time a motorist wants to buy a
hot dog lie has to come to a full
stop.—Life.
From Chair to Chair
Plumber (arriving to mend burst
pipe)—How is it?
Always Cheerful Householder—Not
so bad. While we’ve been waiting for
you I’ve taught my wife to swim!—
Border Cities Star.
Method
“Mrs. Miller is a nice woman. She
paid you such a nice compliment over
your simple little house frock.”
“Yes, she only said that so that you
would not buy me anything better."
Snip and Snap
Angry Employer (to Irishman who
insisted on leaving his service)—Well,
goodby, Pat, and bad luck to you.
Pat—Good luck to you, sir, and may
neither of us be right.
Reason to Ba Annoyed
“I suppose the boss was annoyed
when you told him I was leaving next
week ?”
“Yes, he thought It was this yv«ek."

Corona
cThe PORTABLE TYPEWRITER
No radical changes.
But some interesting refinements and a few
added features.
For one thing you may now have a paper bail
on your Corona, if you prefer the bail to paper
fingers.
You may also order your machine equipped with
1, 114, 2 line spacing. All typewriters will space
single or double between lines; but the IV2 space
is something new. It gives a very pleasing effect
to a letter and allows you to get more words on
a page.
There are other interesting things to learn about
the latest Corona. We haven’t the space here to
describe them; but we will gladly explain them
fully if you will drop in or phone us.
