Dear Mrs. Brown:
This is in reply to your recent letter expressing your support
for legislation which would provide veterans' benefits to persons
who served in the WASP program in World War II.
Hearings on several bills to accomplish this have been scheduled
for September 20 and 21, 1977. There are many other individuals
who supported the war effort in a civilian capacity and who have
made claims for veterans' benefits. The Committee will also receive
testimony from these persons during the hearings.
