sons," witb Mrs. Al Anderson as
leader. Roll cal) was answered
with Booth Tarkington's works.
An interesting paper on “The
Place of Booth Tarkington in
American Literature,'' was read
by Mrs. Hugh Evans. A num-
ber of in ami out of town guests
were present, who were as fol-

Thanksgiving decorations were
used with the club colors of pink
and green. DeKcious refresh
ments were served by the host-
ess, each plate containing novelty
Thanksgiving favors. The club
adjourned to meet Dec. 14, at the
home of Mrs. ’.V. lx Baughn,
with Mrs. Hugh Evans as host
ess. _
NEIGHBORS GET TOGETHER
FOR A BIG TURKEY FEED
\ A crowd of young men who
call themselves “Neighbors," get
together occasionally for a stag
party or feed. They had a tur
key dinner Sunday at the Para-
dise restaurant. There was much
good natured banter and a great
deal to eat. The great American
bird was conked to a golden
brown, stuffed and garnistfcd
with rich dressing, and there
was plenty of gravy logo with it.
In addition there was cranber-
ries, ))otato salad, cherry pie,
chocolate and coffee. When
thanks had been returned, they
fell to, and the piece de resist-
ance did not resemble its former
self when the meal was over.
The following were present:
Buck Mathews, .Toe Kelsey, Ivey
Argo, George Grant, George Ful-
ler, Raymond N'xon, Hal Mur-
rell. F. D. Webb, Gun Nobles
and The Times editor, who was
an invited guest.

FOR THE ENSUING YEAR
The Woman's Missionary So-
ciety met Monday at the Method-
ist church, this being the date
for the annual election of officers.
Rev. Coojjer presided during
the devotional service, reading a
l>*sson from Mark, 9th chapter.
He made an interesting talk,
after which the election of of-
ficers was held, Rev. Cooper
acting as chairman. The follow
ing were elected: President,
