riage Saturday, January 27, 2001 at
7:00 p.m. in the Ramseur Baptist
Church in Paris, Texas.
The bride-elect is the daughter of
Tony and Terry Watkins of Bogata.
Her grandparents are Floreice
Nicholson and the late Reid Nicholson
and Eva Watkins and the late Tom
Watkins. She is a graduate of River-
crest High School and is currently
attending NortheastTexasCommuity
College in Mt. Pleasant.
The prospective groom is the son
of Randy and Debbie Bishop of Mt.
Pleasant. His grandparents are Ed
and Ann Bishop of Mt. Pleasant, Elton
Randall of Antlers, OK. and the late
Bettie Randall. He is a graduate of
Chapel Hill High School and is em-
ployed at Lone Star Steel.

Childbirth preparation classes will
begin Monday, February 7 from 5 to
7 p.m. at the Lennox Health Resource
Center, 1143 North Walnut in
Clarksville.
Stages of pregnancy, phases of la-
bor, delivery, exercises, breathing and
pushing techniques, anesthesia. Ce-
sarean section and postpartum and
newborn care will be covered.
All classes meet once a week for
five weeks. You must attend all five
classes. Pre-registration is required
by calling 428-8500. Classes are free
and seating is limited.
Classes will be taught by Cindy
Smith, RN, Nurse Educator.
Cookie sale begins January 5
Girl Scouts will begin their annual
cookie sale on January 5, by taking
orders from customers through Janu-
ary 21. The cookies will be delivered
February 23 through March H.
Booth sales will also take place dur-
ing that tinme at locations through-
out the community.
Consumers will have eight variet-
ies to choose from at $3.00 per box.
New this year is the Aloha Chip with
macadamia nuts.
For those who like the old favor-
ites, other cookies available will be
Trefoils, old fashioned shortbread,
thin mints, do-si-dos, tagalongs,
lemon drops and apple cinnamon
PJC announces honors lists
Paris Junior College has an-
nounced students named to the presi-
dents and Deans list for academic
achievement during the fall semes-
ter.
To be eligible for the president’s
list, students must earn a 4.0 grade
point average (straight A’s) on a mini-
mum of 15 semester hours. Those on
the deans list must have a minimum
of 3.5 grade point average on at least
15 semester hours and have no grade
lower than a C.

memorial Church of Christ in Hous-
ton, Texas. Minister Nick Hamilton
performed the 2 o'clock ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Tom
and Terrie Wooldridge of Yukon,
OK. Her grandparents are Hersell
and VirginiaCox and Obed and Betty
Wooldridge of Snyder. She is a gradu-
ate of Yukon High School and Okla-
homa Christian University. She is
employed as a kindergarten teachers
at Northland Christian School in
Houston.
The groom is the son of Don and
June Freeman of Mesquite formerly
of Mt. Pleasant. He is the grandson of
Maxine Topping and the late Ray-
mond Damron of Bogata and Mrs.
A.C. Jones of Grapevine formerly of
Mt. Pleasant. He graduated from Mt.
Pleasant High School and the Uni-
versity of Oklahoma with a BS/MS.
He is a geophysicist with Exxon/
Mobil in Houston.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore an elegant gown by
Alfred Angelo of ivory bridal satin
with a portrait neckline and basque
waist, ballgown skirt and cathedral
length train. The bodice was enhanced
with rice and seed pearls and sequins.
The skirt and train featured cutwork
lace and tiny self-covered buttons
extending full length of back. To
complete her enxemble, the bride
wore an elbow length veil with rib-
bon edging flowing from a beaded
comb. Her bouquet was white roses,
freesia and miniature white irises.
Maide of honor was April
Wooldridge, sister of the bride. Deby
Hawkins, long time friend of the bride,
was matron of honor. Rachel Harris,
student of the bride, was flower girl
and Evan Laman, also student of the
bride was ring bearer. Kevin Krenik
served as best man and groomsman
was Alvin Barber. Soloists at the
ceremony were Carla Wells, Wes
Hanson, April Wooldridge, Terri
Wooldridge, Amy Wooldridge,
Stephanie Ward and Mike Sheaffer.
Following a wedding trip to New
Orleans, the couple are residing in
Spring, Texas.

Ceremonies were held at winter
commencement on December 16 for
students at Texas A&M University,
Commerce.
During the day, a total of 561
graduates received diplomas, 344
with bachelor’s, 204 with master’s
and 13 doctoral degrees.
